The Center’s holistic approach works hand-in-hand with families, offering classroom programs, home-based coaching programs, early intervention services and supportive services for families.

The PLAY Project Center will provide training to professionals to become certified PLAY Project Consultants. Trainings and workshops will also be available for professionals in the medical and educational fields who are interested in learning more about the PLAY Project and how they can use it in their own setting.
In 2011, recognizing the value of the PLAY Project, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) determined that they would make PLAY Project accessible throughout the State of Ohio and launched a very important initiative.
Each year, The Childhood League Center works with over 450 children, birth to age 6. An estimated 30% of The Center’s preschool children with special needs have autism or are considered at risk for ASD, which is why the organization decided to take a more active role in addressing ASD with an intervention that fit within its philosophy and approach.
In 2015, The Childhood League Center, with the support of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, brought PLAY Project as an option to more families through the Intervening Early initiative.
The Childhood League Center proudly became the first PLAY Project Center in the nation, outside of the founding center in Michigan. Additionally, The Center’s staff is being trained in Teaching PLAY and the number of certified PLAY Project Consultants to provide services seamlessly from home to classroom settings is expanding.
The PLAY Project Center provides training to professionals seeking certification as PLAY Project Consultants. Customized training and workshops are available for professionals interested in learning more about the intervention and applying the principles and methods in a variety of settings.
